There’s a reason we call our Circus training ‘Incredibly Clever’. Yes, your dog will acquire an impressive array of Instagram-worthy abilities to impress your friends and astonish the neighbours, but that’s not why we train this way.
The power of play
Play is one of the fastest and most effective ways to learn, for dogs as well as humans. But more importantly, regularly playing together creates cooperation and the strongest of bonds between individuals (it’s how the best football teams always win). If going to training class feels like a chore, there’s zero chance of you mustering any enthusiasm for practising the repetitive homework exercises at home. We’ve turned traditional dog training on its head and made the training itself rewarding, not just for your dog but for you too. You’ll be so focused on the fun you are having together that you won’t even realise that your dog is getting trained, as if by magic!

Our Circus dog training is intentionally designed to encourage the development of specific qualities in our dogs, removing the need for micro-management and creating the perfect conditions for you to live a happy, relaxed and fulfilling life together.

Confident
A lot of unwanted behaviours are caused by lack of confidence. When dogs are worried it can be hard for them to know what to do and apparently irrational habits start to appear. Our choice-based training model empowers dogs to find new ways of interacting with their environment, creating optimistic individuals who are able to confidently navigate the world around them.
Inquisitive
Problem behaviour often stems from insecurity around unfamiliar things, leading to a state of perpetual anxiety. Combined with our first essential quality - Confidence - we encourage your dog to happily explore new situations, creating dogs who have the necessary skill set to respond appropriately to their constantly changing environment.
Resilient
The ability to recover from unexpected events is a crucial skill for our dogs to develop. We deliberately create (carefully planned) chaos at the Circus, enabling our dogs to develop and practise the essential capablility of remaining calm even in the face of confusion.
Clever
Dogs are super-intelligent ~ ‘naughty’ dogs are usually just bored dogs who have learned to create their own entertainment. We provide you with both the inspiration and the motivation to ensure your dog’s natural desire to learn is channelled into activities that you enjoy together.
Unique
Every dog is an individual. We don’t just recognise this fact, we positively embrace it, working with you to identify your dog’s particular talents and bring out their unique character.

We know the promise of ‘the special relationship’ is one reason you brought a dog into your life. We also recognise that the reality doesn't always match the dream.
