got questions?

We have answers…

My dog sometimes barks at other dogs. can we still come?

Classes are suitable for dogs who do not habitually display overtly aggressive behaviour around other dogs or people. We have found that training outside often allows dogs who may struggle to maintain composure at an indoor class situation to participate. Above all, we aim to ensure that all dogs enjoy coming to class so, if you are unsure of your dog’s suitability to train in this environment, please consider joining the Circus of One which we created specifically for dogs who don’t enjoy group settings.

Can I bring more than one dog to class?

Each dog attending must be booked onto the course and accompanied by at least one adult (18+).  Any additional family dogs who wish to attend must book a separate place and be accompanied by another adult handler. For Curious Kids classes each attending dog must be booked a separate place and be accompanied by an appropriately aged youngster; only one assisting adult need attend per family.

How long will it take to get my dog fully trained?

Ah the million-dollar question! (If I only had a million bucks for every time I’ve been asked that one…) All dog-human partnerships are unique and will progress at different rates, but our training is both efficacious and expeditious so you can expect to see significant behaviour change over even one of our courses. Of course the further you go, the further you will go. Like us, dogs never stop learning so you essentially never stop ‘training’ (intentional or not!) but it’s not so much about time as consistency - our mantra of “just five minutes a day will change your life” does exactly what it says!

Can wheelchair-users join the Circus?

Well, our training ground is in a field, so I guess it depends on the wheelchair! Seriously though, we are not big fans of the word ’no’ so if your chair is off-road capable and you’re intrepid enough to give it a whirl, who are we to stop you? Why not reach out for a chat and we’ll see if we can make it work, we’d definitely love to see you.

Can my three-legged dog join the Circus?

Your dog will be required to easily step onto and off a low platform (6 inches in height). This is not a problem for most dogs (including our tri-pawd friends), but if your dog has any muscular-skeletal challenges or injuries which you think might present a problem then please reach out prior to booking to discuss suitability.

Can we share one place between all our family dogs?

As the course builds on previously acquired skills week to week, we ask that every dog attends each lesson; the course is not suitable to switch different dogs in and out of individual lessons. Please do not bring dogs who are not participating in the classes.

Do you discount for multiple bookings?

We love to reward folks who return for more Circus fun, so you will see discounts on our booking system for upfront reservations of 2, or even all 3, courses. If you’re booking more multiple dogs from one household please reach out and we’ll see what we can do!

Do you offer private classes?

In a word, yes! If you have a group of friends who want to train at home together, or you’re considering throwing a doggie-birthday party for your precious pooch and their pals, we would absolutely love to bring the Circus magic to your place. Please get in touch for a chat.
